Alert cries wolf

I keep receiving hurricane alerts and when I go to the app it shows no threats found. Alerts should only interrupt our day when we are in danger. Too many false alarms will cause users to ignore them when theres really an eminent danger.
Also FYI, news hasnt changed since June and its now August.
